Sree Jagannath Temple

Sree Jagannath Temple in Kannur is said to be constructed by the reknown social reformer Sree Narayana Guru in the year 1908. Lord Shiva as Ezhava Shiva is the main deity of this temple. The Jhanodhaya Yogam organizes the management and activities of the shrine. An annual carnival of Kumbham is celebrated here for around eight days. Throughout this festival the temple is well decorated with colorful lights and with colorful fireworks. Other carnivals like Shree Narayana Guru Jayanthi and Sivarathri are furthermore celebrated in grand kind in Sree Jagannath Temple. It is very easy to come to this location from Thalasserry bus station established within 2 km from the temple.
