Holy Cross Shrine Church Mapranam

Holy Cross Shrine is located in Thrissur district of Kerala. This church was constructed in 928 A.D and finally renovated in 1989. This is a part of the Irinjalakuda diocese and attracts devotees from all parts of the country. Holy Cross Shrine is one among the old churches in India and one among few churches in Asia which has got the relics in relation to Jesus Christ’s death. These include Holy cross, part of Jesus’s blood and a piece of towel used by veronica to wipe Jesus’s face.
