Kottarakkara Sree Ganapathy Temple

Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple is one of the most visited temples in Kerala. Situated at a distance of about 25 km from the heart of Kollam district, the temple can reach to the temple easily from all parts of the state. Lord Ganapathy is the presiding deity of the temple. Navarathri, Vinayaka Chathurthy and Ayilyam-Makam are the main festivals celebrated in this temple which attracts thousands of devotees every year from all over India. The temple has idols of Lord Shiva, Lord Murugan, Goddess Parvathi and Lord Ayyappa. Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathi Temple is famed all over Kerala for its Unni Appam, a food proposing made in the temple.
