Madayi Mosque

Madayi Mosque in Kannur is acknowledged for its antique structure. This mosque was constructed by a Malik Iban Dinar, a well renowned Muslim preacher in A.D 1124 and is located just 22 kms away from Kannur. The architecture of this mosque is quite attractive. Thousands of people who come to offer prayers. It has a gigantic mosque plea hall and a center portion is enclosed by Veranda all over the mosque. The fort of Tipu sultan Fort is located adjacent the Madayi mosque. Special prayers are conducted during all the Fridays.
