Sree Andalurkavu Temple

Sree Andalurkavu one of the prominent temple located in Kannur district of Kerala. This ancient temple is dedicatd to Lord Rama. Daivathar the major deity here is worshipped as Sri Rama. Apart from the Andalur Daivathar there were Paduvilayi, Maavilayi and Kappad daiavathars.The main festival of Andalurkavu ceremonial is held throughout the middle month of February. It is a annual carnival celebrated in the first week of Malayalam month of Kumbam. It is commemorated in an impressive way with lots of happiness. Another main festival commemorated with gigantic pomp is Theyaattam carnival. During this ceremonial Yuddha Kanda of Ramayana is performed.
